Fritz Blädel, "Amicna" an impressive depiction of a row of destroyed houses with a seemingly intact Gothic cathedral in the background, watercolour and opaque paints, titled "Amicna" in the bottom right-hand corner, dated "(19)41" and signed "F. Blädel", minor signs of ageing, framed under a passe-partout and behind glass, passe-partout dimensions approx. 30.5 x 25 cm. Artist information: German landscape painter (born 1903 in Munich), a pupil of Rudolf Schistl at the Munich School of Applied Arts; his strong influence from his role model Oskar Mulley (1891-1949) led to a legal dispute with the artist in 1932; later worked in Nuremberg; source: internet.
