Artist information: Léon-Charles Fourquet (born 1841 in Saint-Forget, Yvelines to 1938/39 Algiers), French sculptor, active in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, collaborator of Auguste Rodin, created figurative sculptures and Oriental-inspired works, known for his naturalistic modelling and sculptural expressiveness.
