Julien Caussé, bust “Libellule” c. 1900, signed on the side, titled on the front, cold-painted cast metal; an Art Nouveau beauty with knotted hair and dragonfly wings emerging from a rock plinth adorned with flowers, surface partially worn, H 47 cm. Artist information: also known as Cadet-Julien Caussé, French sculptor (1869, Bourges - 1914), studied under Alexandre Falguière, was represented at several exhibitions of the Salon des Artistes Français and at the Exposition Universelle, created numerous works in the Art Nouveau style, often featuring female nudes, as well as functional objects such as lamps.
