Renaissance-style fountain model Mid-19th century, unsigned, bronze with a dark brown patina, a delicate shell-shaped basin with a figurative shaft depicting a faun with two sea serpents, standing on a snail, which in turn rests on a moulded plinth atop an octagonal, facetted marble base, the shell featuring lion’s heads in relief and a large side mascaron, the latter fantastically designed with wings and ridden by a faun bearing a trident and a cornucopia, partially engraved floral ornamental bands, well preserved for its age, total height 25 cm.
