St George’s cymbal bowl probably Nuremberg, 16th century, unmarked, embossed brass, copper-plated, deep hand-embossed bowl with a steep, rim turned outwards at the top, the rim decorated with a repeating floral pattern; the centre features a repoussé, engraved and punched motif of St George fighting the dragon, surrounded by a laurel wreath; repaired in the past; wall mounting; H 26.5 cm.
