Art Nouveau silver jardinière circa 1900, silver hallmarked with a crescent, crown and 800, maker’s mark Wilhelm Binder Schwäbisch Gmünd, gilded on the inside; an oval jardinière resting on four slightly raised feet, with a vertically ribbed body, the upper rim featuring a geometric openwork design, handles rising up from the sides, original colourless glass insert, with cut rosettes at the upper rim and a notched cut decoration, the latter with small chips; all showing signs of wear, L 36 cm, weight of silver approx. 400 g.
