Large silver centrepiece Second half of the 19th century, unmarked, hallmarked, engraved dates: ‘1849. 1 April 1874’, engraved owner’s monogram ‘IK’ in ligature, on a domed base resting on four tasselled feet; baluster shaft entwined by a stylised cord; wide, sweeping bowl with an indented rim, also featuring a stylised cord, original insert of colourless crystal glass, featuring a star cut into the base and all-round decoration of various olive-cut and notched patterns, signs of age and wear, glass insert with a chip, originally soldered, cleaned, H 27.8 cm, D 26 cm, Silver weight approx. 789 g.
