Fine silver lidded goblet, 1852 Dated 1852, silver hallmarked 13 Lot, gilded on the inside, engraved dedication: “To the distinguished Director of the Infirmary, Mr Med: Rath Dr Georg Müller in Pforzheim. In fond remembrance of the celebration of his 40th year of service. Dedicated by all the officials and staff of the institution and by old, loyal friends on 12 May 1852”, a fine goblet with a facetted, domed and fluted base curving outwards with a baluster shaft; both the base and the bell-shaped cup are decorated with relief-carved, intertwined, Neo-Gothic-style floral elements; the removable lid features matching decoration and a pointed finial, slightly dented; the rim of the cup has a slight dent; otherwise normal signs of age; cleaned; height 34 cm, weight approx. 552 g.
