Silver measuring chalice circa 1930-40, silver hallmarked 800, Czechoslovak hallmark 1929-1941, maker’s mark JH within a square (possibly Josef Hoge, Turnov/Turnau), gilded on the inside, a cup widening towards the top, baluster shaft with two disc-shaped knobs of different sizes, flaring, profiled base, all decorated with grooved bands and stylised ornamental bands, signs of age and wear, H 23 cm, W approx. 537 g. Provenance: Otto Blokesch Collection, Bamberg.
