Oversized faience plate, Italy probably Urbino, 19th century or earlier, unmarked, model number 1036/30 painted on, light grey faience body with a whitish glaze, fine hand-painting, classical motif featuring Cupid and Venus in the centre, with grotesques and arabesques around the rim, minor glaze imperfections, an old auction label dating from around 1920 on the reverse, as well as a wire wall hanger; overall in good condition for its age, D 60.5 cm.
