3420 - Thuringia/Bavaria: a collection of elegant ladies

Thuringia/Bavaria: a collection of elegant ladies Schwarza-Saalbahn, Scheibe-Alsbach and Rosenthal, first half of the 20th century, each marked and bearing an embossed model number, naturalistic form with polychrome underglaze and/or overglaze decoration, and in some cases gold decoration, comprising a group of mythological figures by E. & A. Müller, designed and executed c. 1900, model numbers 1607 and 9; set upon a rocaille plinth, depicting the nude Europa on a swimming bull, with drapery, a garland of roses and a putto at her feet; also a Rosenthal Rococo dancer, designed by Erna von Langenmantel-Reitzenstein in 1913, executed in 1938, model numbers 207/I and company label; as well as a Biedermeier lady on an oval plinth by A. W. F. Kister, model number 10504 and lead annotation on the base; the Art Nouveau group has undergone minimal professional restoration and shows slight knocks to the garland; otherwise in good condition for its age, H 22 cm, 18 and 15.5 cm.
