Small ceremonial vase in the Sèvres style Carl Thieme Potschappel, hand-painted blue mark from 1914 onwards, two-piece lidded vase in baluster form with a square plinth, round foot, bulbous body and stepped cylindrical neck, richly decorated with partly semi-relief ornamentation comprising ornamental friezes, a laurel wreath, rosette handles and two female mascarons on the neck, the latter connected by an applied garland of roses; a glazed ‘bleu céleste’ background and polychrome overglaze painting featuring a trophy motif on both sides, a laurel wreath, rose motifs and white enamel dots, as well as floral relief gilding, gold decoration and gold rims; handles expertly restored in the traditional manner; H 25 cm.
