Fredda Brilliant was a sculptor, actress and writer, closely associated with a number of leading Indian political figures of the mid-20th century, having sculpted Jawaharlal Nehru and Indira Gandhi during her years working in India. This bronze bust depicts V K Krishna Menon (1896-1974), the influential Indian statesman, diplomat and Defence Minister, best known internationally for his long tenure as India's chief delegate to the United Nations and later as High Commissioner to the United Kingdom.
