Meissen “Lady with a Moorish Child” Designed by Paul Scheurich in 1919/20, underglaze blue sword mark from the Pfeiffer period (1924-1934), 4th selection, incised model number A.1012 and modeller’s number 50, naturalistic rendering in white porcelain, a lady in a crinoline seated on a hexagonal plinth, concealing a ball behind her back from the small, urgently pleading boy in oriental costume; a 4 cm-long stress crack in the skirt near the boy’s hand and a base with a lateral firing crack filled by the manufacturer; otherwise in good condition; H 28.5 cm.
