Goldscheider Vienna “Chloë” Designed by Simon (possibly a pseudonym for Thomas Seidan), signed, embossed lettering mark 1895-1910, with the inscription ‘Reproduction Réservée’, model number 1519 and numbers 65 and 3; light-coloured shard with beige paintwork and remnants of partial gilding; on a hexagonal plinth bearing the title, a young woman in antique-style robes, originally holding the aulos, a double flute; likely a depiction of the Greek goddess Demeter, known by her epithet Chloë as the goddess of grain; little finger loosely attached; otherwise in good condition, professionally restored; height 95 cm.
