FOUSSEREAU “Uniforms of the National Guard of the French Army and Navy from 1830 to 1832” In-folio in-8 (26 x 18 cm) with 100 plates. Contemporary binding, red half-leather, ribbed spine, and title in gold. Bookplates of Baron Pelleport and the Viscount de Pelleport Burète. A.B.E. History: In his catalog, on pages 146–149, Glasser highlights the documentary value of this collection. Indeed, it is very comprehensive regarding the uniforms of the National Guard at the beginning of Louis-Philippe’s reign. Glasser also notes that the only known complete collection is that of M. de Pelleport in Bordeaux. This is in fact the volume in question, which therefore appears to be unique.
