“The Phrygian Cap—An Illustrated Monthly Publication on Historical and Revolutionary Curiosities, 1789–1871” Three issues: April, May, and June 1907 This publication, similar in style to others of that era, was in fact a replacement for a free supplement to Louis Fallou’s *La Giberne*. It indeed echoes the style of that publication—featuring numerous line drawings depicting valuable collectibles. The first issue contains a single article on “the Phrygian cap,” authored by Maurice Bottet, a prominent collector and specialist in “military curiosities.” A total of 23 pages—covers of the issues preserved at the B.E.
