Original shoulder straps present, leather still supple. Four 1892-pattern haversacks, one stamped with a depot mark from the 85th Line Regiment, one from the quartermaster’s department, and one large-capacity haversack made of brown canvas that closes with three buttons. Some buttons are missing, and there are signs of wear. Khaki canvas square-pattern pack without frame, with partially repaired straps and original suspenders. Four 1892-pattern haversacks, including examples marked for the 85th Infantry and the Quartermaster’s Department; some have missing buttons and stains.
