A lieutenant colonel’s kepi made of black cloth, original sewn-on rank insignia, gold-plated false chin strap fastened by two colonial infantry buttons, anchor embroidered with cannetille. Leather visor and band, black leather sweatband three-quarters detached, black satin lining. Four colonial infantry kepis: one in dark blue wool with scarlet piping and a bullion anchor; one with a striped lining of dark blue wool featuring a scarlet cotton anchor; one with a black lining; one dark blue warrant officer’s kepi with a bullion anchor and a partially detached sweatband; and one black lieutenant colonel’s kepi with original rank insignia, a gilt false chinstrap, a bullion anchor, and a mostly detached leather sweatband. All feature leather visors and edging, as well as colonial infantry buttons.
