Consists of a helmet shell, a visor, a neck guard, a headband, two chin straps, a crest, a brush extending into a mane, and a plume holder. The helmet shell is made of brass sheet metal, stamped on the back with size 57 and the manufacturer’s name, Bernard Franck & Fils, in Aubervilliers. There is a dent below the size marking. The leather liner is complete with its drawstring. Nickel silver band stamped with a flaming pomegranate surrounded by laurel leaves. Tricolor plume with an olive made of silver wire. Sheet brass shell stamped on the rear with size 57 and the manufacturer Bernard Franck & Fils of Aubervilliers. Damage below the size marking. Complete leather liner with drawstring. Nickel silver band embossed with a flaming grenade surrounded by laurel leaves. Tricolor plume with a silver-thread base. Some wear and patina on the piece. Condition II+.
