Lichterbergmann, Ore Mountains 1930s/1940s, hand-labelled on the base and on an old sticky note: “Schnitzer Club Aue/Sa. Kurt May Aue/Sa. Bockauer Talstraße …”, Wood carved and painted, with silver and gold bronze plating; a miner standing on a rock plinth in full dress uniform, holding a miner’s lamp, a candle holder and a detachable pickaxe; the candle holder is slightly scorched and there is minimal paint flaking; otherwise in good condition for its age, H 41 cm.
