Small Franz Schmidt & Co. porcelain head doll Character doll, c. 1900, marked S & C Germany 5, bisque porcelain wind-up head with open mouth, two upper teeth, a dimple on the chin, pierced earlobes, fixed blue glass eyes, painted eyelashes, feathered eyebrows and a blonde mohair wig, on a 15-part articulated body made of wood and moulded material, in a lovely lace dress with a rose-coloured petticoat, bow and hairband, knickers, stockings and leather shoes, in good condition for her age, L 36 cm, accompanied by a metal doll stand.
