A colonial Brunswick rifle, circa 1840 Round barrel with a smooth bore, 18 mm caliber. Large bayonet mount to the right of the muzzle. Rear-set percussion lock. Full stock with brass fittings and a lockable butt compartment. Stock shows clear signs of wear, has been refinished multiple times, and the butt plate is chipped. Trigger guard bears an Indian arsenal mark. Iron ramrod. Length 133 cm. The rifle was likely manufactured for colonial troops and is presumably not equipped with a rifled barrel for that reason. Condition: II–III
