Rare coin belt Second half of the 19th century, probably belonging to a leader of the Caucasian Cossacks; wide leather strap, fitted with approx. 41 Russian coins, including eight 1-rouble coins, two 30-kopek coins and approximately 31 half-rouble coins dating from 1820 to 1880; silver buckle and counter-buckle, decorated with fine silver wire and hallmarked, the surfaces finished using the black niello technique, featuring fourteen pyramids and three cones in silver, also decorated using the black niello technique; the fastenings for the coins have been replaced with modern wire pins; otherwise in good condition for its age; L 92 cm.
