A "Feuerstutzen," Nordheim Caliber 4mmRF Short, No. 1757, matching serial number. 69 cm long octagonal barrel. Falling-block action. Tested by Krone/"BUG." Diopter sight. German stock. Marked on the left side of the barrel “Ehrengabe von” (Honorary Gift from), marked “Emil v. Nordheim Mehlis” on the top of the barrel rail, and marked on the right side of the barrel “Zum I. Thür. Fränk. Z.B. Sch. Sonneberg” (To the 1st Thuringian-Franconian Rifle School, Sonneberg). The original bluing on the barrel and action shows signs of use.
