A Model 98 repeating rifle, with Zeiss scope Caliber 7x57, No. 1279, unmarked barrel, length 52 cm. DWM action with S/N 1279, magazine box S/N 9520. Valid range test from 1993. Cylinder-type bolt with a small lock and a three-position side safety. Barrel base, action, magazine floorplate, and trigger guard engraved with oak leaves; the magazine floorplate also features an oval engraving of a mouflon’s head. Dry-fire direct trigger. Hand-carved walnut stock with finely cut fish-scale checkering, pistol grip, and German cheek piece. Pistol grip cap featuring a roebuck. On the underside of the forend, a longitudinal crack extending from the magazine box to the sling swivel. Wide, dark butt plate.
