HANS HARDERS (German School, 1875–1955) Art Deco sculpture in cold-polychromed bronze, with a veined white marble base, “Flamenco Dancer” Signed on the base; Height: 35 cm. Conceived in a bold, contrasting palette with a satin finish that evokes the polished, glossy surfaces characteristic of Art Deco, the figure unfolds in a fluid, elongated geometry characteristic of the avant-garde dynamism of its era and rests on a polygonal, geometric pedestal that reflects the architectural influence on the arts of that time. This piece forms a pair with another, offered in this auction in the previous lot; together, they constitute a symmetrical set of great visual contrast in their original conception.
