Luciani sculp., two-colour printed title page with a copperplate portrait vignette of the author, 38 leaves (including two engraved maps of the Roman Empire), 559 pages, and 3 leaves and 654 pages (Volume 2), the latter containing an engraved folded map of a battle plan, in a contemporary calfskin binding with gold embossing on the spine; the spine has some losses and has been repaired with glue; the pages are slightly wavy inside but clean, with signs of age.
