Dilherr’s Bible, 1725 Biblia [...] with a preface by Mr Johann Michael Dilherr, Nuremberg 1725, size Large 4°, [49] leaves, 1181 pp., [11] leaves, with a full-page copperplate portrait of Luther (this one with a small tear at the bottom left), two further full-page copperplate engravings depicting saints, as well as numerous woodcuts in the text, contemporary leather binding with rich blind embossing, remnants of old, florally embossed brass fittings and book clasps; frontispiece missing; Binding soiled, interior uniformly darkened but with some finger-stains; marginal discolouration near the front and rear endpapers; the last blank leaf bears owner’s notes; incomplete, with a tear, and showing signs of age and wear.
