Gobelin embroidery, Historicism Second half of the 19th century, horizontal rectangular shape with fine polychrome petit point embroidery on canvas, depicting a peacock perched on a flowerpot, flanked by large blossoms, mounted behind glass in an openwork wooden frame, the frame decorated with bronzed stucco elements and decorative mouldings made of burl birch; the frame shows very minor losses of material, otherwise in good condition for its age, Dimensions of embroidery 24 x 35 cm, dimensions of frame max. 39 x 53 cm.
