An overcoat for enlisted men in the 25th Dragoon Regiment, circa 1903 Personal item. Single-breasted coat made of fine light gray cloth with two slanted side pockets and gold-plated non-ferrous metal buttons bearing the “Extra Fein” mark. The sewn-on shoulder pieces are made of white cloth with the red regimental insignia (an “O” beneath a crown) sewn onto them. Light gray silk lining with one inside chest pocket. Occasional tears, stains, repairs, and signs of wear and age. Fine quality. Published in Herr/Nguyen, *Die deutsche Kavallerie*, p. 365. Condition: II
