A small sword for cuirassier officers, circa 1900 Narrow, straight blade with a diamond-shaped cross-section (no maker's mark). Brass guard with a heart-shaped guard plate (one arm of the crossguard is cracked), bulbous tang with silver wire wrapping (brown and black patina), featuring a restored guard star, and a round pommel with a screw-off end. Newly restored black leather scabbard with brass fittings. Attached silver sword knot with black streaks. Partially slightly damaged; shows signs of use and age. Length 96 cm. Condition: II -
