Cretan Crete, mid-20th century, wedge-shaped blade, engraved on one side with Greek script and the date 1950; the pommel and central bar of the hilt are made of silver with floral decoration, the hilt scales are made of bone; wooden scabbard, entirely ornamental and fitted with silver sheet decorated with mythical creatures, four small Ottoman coins on chains at the scabbard mouth, scabbard end in the shape of a dragon’s head, pommel re-soldered, otherwise in good condition for its age, total length 26 cm.
