English infantry officer’s sabre M 1845, wedge-shaped blade with a hollow edge on both sides, transitioning to a rhombus-shaped blade in the front third, with the VR monogram and ornamental etching on both sides, manufacturer’s mark ‘Proved T’ stamped in brass, openwork crossguard with four bars and the VR monogram beneath a crown, full-length pommel with decorative elements, hilt covered in fish-scale pattern and triple-wrapped, leather scabbard with mouthplate, centre plate and pommel strap, two carrying loops, blade mottled, with minor scarring in places, etching somewhat worn away, signs of age and wear, total length 100 cm.
