Saxon infantry officer’s sabre M 1867, full double-edged blade with triple fullering on both sides, bearing the AR monogram beneath a crown on the blunt edge, manufacturer WK&C (Weyersberg & Kirschbaum, Solingen), distributed by Geissler & Hast, Dresden; guaranteed by Eisenhauer; openwork guard bearing the Saxon coat of arms; marked ‘4.281’ below the hilt; pommel decorated with foliage; hilt covered in fish-scale leather with double wrapping; blade stained; wrapping slightly loose, scabbard missing, total length 93 cm.
