GDR miner’s uniform Late 1950s, peaked cap made of black cloth with gold piping; metal hammer and mallet attached to the crown; VEB badge featuring a cogwheel on the trim strip, metal hammer and mallet, black cap cord, brown sweatband; manufacturer’s details on the cap’s trapezoid label: VVB Textil-Leder Thüringen, Mützenfabrik Erfurt, size approx. 55, accompanied by a jacket made of black cloth with gold-yellow piping, black linen lining inside, the collar tabs featuring a hammer and sledgehammer set against oak leaves, silver buttons decorated with a hammer and sledgehammer, various badges such as ‘Meritorious Miner’ and ‘Activist’ etc., shoulder width approx. 48 cm, and trousers made of black cloth with gold-yellow piping, length approx. 98 cm; all showing slight signs of wear.
