Personal effects of a senior regional forester from the GDR circa 1960, including a pair of epaulettes made from braided gold cord with a green thread running through them and two silver acorns on each, mounted on green cloth, designed to be threaded through, plus a pair of collar badges made of green cloth, each featuring two golden oak leaves and gold piping, as well as a shooter’s cord made of braided gold cord with two acorns, all in good condition for their age; the Chief Regional Forester was the second-highest rank in the GDR’s forestry service, reporting only to the Chief Forester, which also reflects the quality of these items.
