Reserve soldier’s tankard, Speyer Engineer Battalion inscribed “3rd Company, 2nd Royal Bavarian Engineer Battalion, Speyer. 1902-04.”, inscribed with the name ‘Pioneer Henneberger’; on the front, an anchor with crossed oars, a pickaxe and a spade beneath a crown; at the bottom, military trophies; on the left and right, manoeuvre and farewell scenes; on the back, two name strips; lithophane on the base depicting a farewell scene; tall pewter lid with military trophies; the finial depicts a reservist drinking; the lid clasp is in the shape of an anchor with a spade and pickaxe; two restored chips on the upper rim; the shovel of the finial is missing; otherwise in good condition; height max. 29 cm.
