A Prussian Model 43 Guard Dragoon Landwehr Officer's Helmet Tall shell made of black-lacquered leather; the front visor is green, and the rear visor is lined with red. The cross-blade fitting, stars, back strap, crest, and the angular front visor mount are gilded. Gilded officer’s emblem (Prussian eagle) with a Guard star and a silver Landwehr cross, secured by two split pins. Gilded, arched scale chains with rosette fastenings. Prussian officer’s cockade made of silk. Black leather lining, additional holes behind the emblem. Uncleaned, with patina and traces of soot. Height 37 cm.
