A Prussian Model 43 Guard du Corps Officer's Helmet Tombak bell; the front visor has a green base coat; the loose neck visor has no base coat. Silver parade eagle with a gilded crown, secured by four round head-and-base screw bolts with old loop nuts. Silver rim. Silver officer’s emblem featuring the Prussian Guard star and an enameled Order of the Black Eagle in the center (the motto “suum cuique” shows signs of wear), secured by three eyelets with wooden split pins (one eyelet missing). Gold-plated, domed mail chain attached to gold-plated clover leaves and pins protruding from the sides. Prussian officer’s cockade. Red leather lining. Uncleaned, with patina/soot coating; large size. This lot is located in the U.S. Condition: II
