An M 1895 helmet for enlisted men of the Line Infantry, dated 1905 Chamber piece. Black-lacquered leather cup (cracked, heat marks on the flanges) with gold-plated non-ferrous metal fittings. Eagle emblem secured with leather wedges, neck strap (ventilation slider), smooth, rigid tip mounted on a plate with four round-head cotter pins, leather chin strap (cracked, worn) fastened to a No. 91 button, Reich cockade and provincial cockade made of lacquered sheet iron. Good black leather lining on the flaps, chamber stamp on the rear visor “46.R.I.R.I.B.” (46th Reserve Infantry Regiment, Posen, 1st Battalion), next to it “1905.” Partially slightly damaged, with signs of wear and age.
