A helmet for enlisted men in the Grand Ducal Mecklenburgian Dragoon Regiment No. 18, circa 1900 Black-lacquered leather body (cracked, slightly sunken) with a square front visor and brass/nickel silver fittings. A riveted star emblem (with double holes) featuring an applied silver-plated coat-of-arms medallion. Cross-shaped plate with four round-head screws and smooth screw tips. Convex, leather-covered scale chains on button 91, iron cockades repainted in color. Good black leather lining on the flaps. Partially slightly damaged, signs of age. Rare. Condition: II
