An M 17 "Brodie" steel helmet belonging to a veteran of the 89th Infantry Division The one-piece shell (with surface rust) features a rim band soldered onto the edge; the retention strap, riveted at the crown, is padded with felt; the lining includes a black replacement sweatband and a chin strap (damaged) attached to riveted retention brackets. No identification markings visible. On the side, the typical paint markings of a veteran featuring the “Rolling W” emblem of the 89th Infantry Division. Condition: II–III
