A bicorne with the Lazarus cross, 19th/20th century Body (worn mohair felt) edged with wide silver braid, the tips filled with silver; black ribbed cockade; agraffe made of silver round cord with a silver button, topped by the Lazarus cross. Black cloth lining (manufacturer’s imprint: “Joh. Pichler Uniform-Hut-Fabrik Wien”). Black oilcloth sweatband (partially detached from the edge). Leather chin strap (heavily worn). Scattered small holes and tears; signs of wear and age. Presumably worn as part of the uniform of the Order of Saints Maurice and Lazarus. Condition: III
