Two caps for members of the Austro-Hungarian Army Madder-red cap for cavalry enlisted men, made of madder-red cloth, with smooth nickel-plated buttons, brass rosettes (“FJI”), orange silk lining, and a cream-colored leather sweatband. Also included is an officer’s cap made of fine black cloth, with a black lacquered brim (crackled), a gold braided cord with black thread, smooth nickel-plated buttons, rosettes made of gold thread bearing the initials “FJI,” black silk lining (2 mm hole and traces of adhesive), black leather sweatband (torn rear seam). Clear signs of wear and age. Condition: II
