General Gerhard Tappen - An Officer's Cross with Flames and Swords of the Bavarian Military Order of Merit, in a case A multi-part gold pin cross, enameled on the front, with riveted swords. On the reverse, a long vertical pin, the maker’s mark “J.L.” (= Jakob Leser, Straubing), and the fineness mark “750” in the hollow-embossed crown. Width 50.9 mm, weight 24.1 g. In a light blue case (soiled) with silver-printed lettering; the lining of the lid features the gold-printed manufacturer’s logo of Leser, Straubing, and a corresponding sticker and numbering on the underside. Condition: I–II
