Grand Duchy of Hesse—a Grand Cross of the Order of Ludwig I Made around 1850; the sash cross is made of gold with colored enamel painting on both sides (minor chips) and multi-part medallions, movably attached to a crown (the central loop on the reverse side is missing). Width approx. 74.5 mm. Attached to the approx. 10 cm wide, watermarked sash, which dates from around 1910. Condition: II -
