A French bird lure, circa 1900 Slightly wing-shaped body with 46 small inlaid mirrors. Five mirrors are missing; one is broken. Stamped on one side with “Truche / Breveté S.G.D.G” and on the other side with the company logo. Hollow inside for storing the string. Swiveling flap on the underside with a recess for the spindle and a locking mechanism. Includes the original cord with an iron winding aid. Wooden, two-piece spindle (the wooden thread on the ground spike no longer engages), with a smooth-running swivel bearing and brass fittings. Ground spike made of iron. Height 48.5 cm.
