A French gilded hunting hanger, mid-18th century Straight back blade with a double-edged tip. Etched with vine motifs at the base and Oriental-style decoration. Surface is mottled. Iron rain guard. Guard and hilt feature fine, floral ironwork on a stamped, gilded background. The hilt also features an openwork braided design. Length 67.5 cm. Condition: II
