A Spanish cup-hilt rapier in the style of the late 17th century, circa 1900 An older, slender, double-edged blade with a rhombic cross-section. Heavily curved iron bell with a reinforced rim. Wide, sweeping iron crossguard with finely cut pommels. Spiral-shaped tang with a thick iron wire winding between two iron ferrules. Ten-grooved pommel with a sharply offset riveted pommel cap. Surfaces are mottled. Length 104 cm. Condition: II -
